South Metro League Slowpitch Softball
South Metro League Fall Ball Slowpitch Softball league starts August 29th through October 10th. (Labor Day weekend will be a non-scheduled date). Games will be held Saturdays mid-morning to early afternoon located at Sue Fisher Fields and or Alimagnet Fields, Burnsville, MN with double header play each Saturday. Age range for each division will be players in current school year 2020-21 of grades 5-8 and 9-12. Team formations will be based on participation levels, regions of the South Metro and requests. Players can also create their own full or partial team. Registration fee is $60.00 for the Fall Ball League that includes a South Metro League jersey.
• Head protective gear required for 2020 Fall Ball season (either softball face-mask or batting helmet with batting cage attached)
• Batting helmet strongly recommended (one will be assigned for the season if a player does not have one)

Registration is open to all players who reside within the ISD 191 school district, and players from neighboring communities that do not offer Slowpitch Softball.

The 2019 "South Metro Classic” BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball Season Championship weekend is coming fast ! July 20-21, at the Lac Lavon field complex in Burnsville and We need your help to make the champiohship tournament a successful event for everyone! This season ending event has over 30 teams and 350 players at every level from the BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball Program competing in the Championship Tournament weekend. Again, we need your help!
The BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball program will be hosting the concessions, T-shirt sales, and tournament events. To accomplish this, we will need approximately 75 volunteers willing to give 2 hours of their time to make the championship weekend a success for our kids and the BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball Program.
Five volunteers from each of our BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball Teams (or 10 hours per team) are needed to cover any one of the slotted times over the weekend. We are asking for five volunteers from each team in our Squirt, Intermediate, and Senior divisions. We are exempting the Mites teams from this volunteer need being they will only be playing for a couple of hours mid-day on Saturday. If any of the Mites coaches or parents want to volunteer and take a time slot, that would be greatly appreciated! You can find time slots at various time periods over the weekend below.
Not sure what time slow to sigh up for? We will make arrangements to cover for parents whose daughter is playing during a time slot they sign up. You will be able to watch your child's game because watching our young girls play is what it's all about!
We need volunteers at Lac Lavon Field complex, on July 20 (Saturday) and July 21 (Sunday) during tournament hours. Thank you to all of the volunteers who support the tournament and help it run smoothly!

Tournament Travel Teams 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u
Tryouts for the 2019 Tournament Travel teams will be April 7th, & April 17th (makeup day). Tournament Travel Teams are additional playing opportunities for our BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball players. These teams will be in addition to each players regular season team and will play an additional 4-5 travel tournamanets throughout the summer and will require additional practices for these travel teams outside of a player regular season team. Highly recommended attending the last dome clinics in preperation of tryouts on April 7th.
Last Dome Clinics !
Our last two dome clinics are March 10 & 17. Great opportunity to get out and start throwing the ball around and swing the bat! If planning on trying-out for the BAC Tournamet Travel teams on April 7th, it is highly recommended to attend the last two clinics to tune up and prepare for those tryouts !

With the growth of the Burnsville Girls Slowpitch Softball Program over the past couple seasons we have become a bigger and stronger program with a continued need for more parent help to keep growing. With help from parents like you we can continue building a great program for our kids! To continue that growth we still need help from more parents, the help can be great or small but every bit helps move our program forward and create a fun softball experience for all the girls of Burnsville community! Some areas we need help with are small enough that can be completed in a weekend to projects that can be done over the summer.

BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball team and individual photos are ready to be picked up during community night. For the families that ordered pictures during picture day your photos will be ready for pickup. For families that did not order pictures during picture day you can pick up your softball photo proofs and STILL place your orders tonight. Orders placed tonight will be ready for delivery in mid-July.
Heggies Pizzas
The Heggies BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball Pizza fundraiser was once again a great success and was all on account of YOUR efforts!! Through your efforts with the Heggies Pizza fundraiser we were able to raise money to continue funding and the purchase of needed new equipment for the 2018 season along with be able to keep our registrations fees low and lowered for the 2018 season plus fund our scholarship program for families in need to benefit all our BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball families!
With the great efforts by the families, teams and players we would like to recognize the top selling teams for each level. The top team for the Mites level is the Coach Deutsch Team at 160 pizzas. At the Squirts level we have the Coach Palm Team with 200 pizzas. The Intermediates top team was the Coach Benson Team with 172 pizzas. The final group at the Seniors level was the Coach Bjonfald/Bogaard Team at 139 pizzas! The players on the top selling teams at each level will receive a DQ gift card donated by Dairy Queen!
We had such great success with our BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball fundraiser we want to recognize the top sellers overall for our Heggies Pizza fundraiser. The top Individual Seller was Emma Giancarlo-Lorenzo with 65 pizzas! Emma will receive $50 Dicks Sporting Good gift card! We would also like to recognize our next top pizza seller who will receive a $50 Dicks Sporting Good gift card, Arianna Dommer​ 51 pizzas sold. Other top sellers we would like to recognize with a $25 Dicks Sporting Good gift card are: Fiona Johnson 44 pizzas, Allison Thorpe 42 pizzas, Marianna Ristamaki-McKee 38 pizzas, Morgan Bolstad 37 pizzas, Riley-Ann Hultman 36 pizzas, Chloe Jarnagin 35 pizzas, Paige Juliar 34 pizzas, Cailyn Wright 33 pizzas, Sophie Meyers 33 pizzas, Gabby Celis 33 pizzas, Roselyn Haman 31 pizzas, Lauren Dufault 31 pizzas, Nora Procaccini 31 pizzas, Amelia Powers 31 pizzas!
In total with everyone's efforts we sold over 2,000 pizzas!
Now we need everyone to come pick up their Heggies Pizzas this Wednesday June 20th from 5-9 pm. Pizza pickup will be located at the back end of the Burnsville Ice Arena parking lot located next to Burnsville City Hall. The Pizzas will be frozen and in our refrigerated delivery truck but we need you to plan for to get your pizzas home without thawing. For families with large orders please plan ahead for your deliveries and plan to bring a cooler to keep your pizzas cool during your delivery time. If you are unable to pick your pizzas up at the designated pickup time please arrange to have someone pickup your pizzas or coordinate with your team coach.

Season Start Date: Week of May 7th
South Metro League Mid-Season Tournament June 23-24 (Intermediates and Seniors)
Season Championship Weekend: July 21-22

On-time registration closes April 1. After that date, a $25 late fee will apply and registrations will only be accepted if space permits at that age level. Please help us coordinate our leagues more efficiently by registering early! Teams will be formed the beginning of April with practices beginning at the end of April. Scholarships are also available for those enrolled in ISD 191's free/reduced lunch program. A $25.00 BAC fee is still required. You must register in person at either in person registrations or the BAC office.
