2021 Tryout Information 
 

Please see below for complete information about BTB tryouts this year, including schedules, the tryout evaluation key, bat requirements, required waiver form, attire and equipment, and more. 

BTB requests your cooperation with the following: 

  • Parents, please ensure players arrive 20 minutes early to their scheduled tryout time and stay in the parking lot. Check-in will occur 10 minutes prior to the start time for their group. All bats must be approved in the lobby by BTB staff prior to entering the dome. 

  • Parents are not allowed inside the fields or the lobby during tryouts. Players will be released from their tryout times as a group. Please arrive outside the dome, ready to pick your player up 15 minutes before the end of their scheduled tryout time.
     

Tryout Schedule & Group Assignments 

Tryouts for the 2021 season of Burnsville Traveling Baseball have been set for Saturday, March 20th and Sunday, March 21st. All tryouts will be held at the Savage Sports Dome at 13450 Dakota Avenue in Savage.

Please check the Tryout Schedule for information about what time your player will be trying out.

Tryout Results 

Rosters will be emailed and posted to the website no later than the evening of March 23rd. A 24-hour "cooling off" period takes place after the rosters have been posted. Emails will not be read or responded to during this 24-hour period. If you have questions or concerns after the cooling-off period has passed, please email the appropriate BTB contact listed on the Contacts page.

Please view the Tryout Evaluation Key for specific information about how players are evaluated and scored during tryouts. 
 

Waiver Required

Any player trying out who does not have a waiver on file with the Savage Dome will need to present one at check-in. Click Batting Waiver to print and complete the form. 
 

Tryout Equipment

Your player should bring the following equipment to tryouts: 

  • Clothing WITHOUT first or last name visible. Dress for the cooler temps inside the dome.

  • Mask and player water bottle (players will not be allowed to use fountains)

  • Tennis shoes or rubber molded cleats (no metal spikes)

  • Bat and helmet only for batting evaluation

  • Gloves and protective cups only for fielding evaluation

  • Sunday Sessions: You may bring your baseball bag with your equipment. 

  • Bat Requirements: USA stamped for 9U-14U if not using BBCOR. 15U must use a BBCOR or wood bat. For more info, see Bat Requirements page
